Jembatan Kota Intan



Jembatan Kota Intan (free translation: Diamond City Bridge) is one of historical bridges in Jakarta. Formerly known as Engelse Brug or the English Bridge since there was English Fort near the bridge. Also known as Het Middelpunt Brug (the Center Bridge) at the dutch colonial era (VOC).
After the renovation at 1938, this bridge is also known as Ophaalsburg Juliana which is named after the Dutch Queen's, Juliana. As the local people named this bridge as Hoenderpasarbrug (Chicken Market Bridge) since there are chicken market around the bridge at that time. Lately, it is know as Jembatan Kota Intan.
